The barrel wheel is metaphorical representation of labour community. In this minimalistic installation art piece, the barrel wheel is hanging upside down to depict the economic sentiment of Nepal. It is a satire on the scenario of labour class people who flee away in search of labour job making our own country depends on the imported labour for any simple works. Beyond all these norms the art work contents several questions on the intention of our governance, development process of the country and individual behavior of dependence. We are so proud to be independent but we are completely invaded by our own people. People with greed, corrupted minds and narrow thoughts govern our independence. This work ponders upon the need of futuristic vision, intrepid criticism and act of conscience for the radical change of thoughts.
“We are so proud to be independent but we are completely invaded by our own people. People with greed, corrupted minds and narrow thoughts govern our independence.”
